I'm going to keep this short, as I have a lot more Christmas stuff to do, but here are the links to the Bookmarked versions of Books 1.6 and 2.2. Mad props to my editor and bookmarker, Lilicia. I give her all credit for the fixes, and take all blame for not noticing anything that still needs to be fixed. Bookmarking is a huge task because any time you need to make a change to the files the PDFs need to be recompiled and the bookmarks are undone. I wish you all Happy Holidays and I hope to have some more stuff to share soon.

ReplyDeleteHAIL VECTRON!
ReplyDeleteIs there a changelog anywhere?
I have a question!?
ReplyDeleteThe 'Chosen One' exalted have the natural ability called Devine Power.
It allows them to replace a thrown dice with his/her devotion by spending a Favor. But if the devotion is 10 the dice does not explode.
HOWEVER, it is possible to make the dice explode at 9 with special attacks. Such as "Blood in the Water" and "Silver bullet".
This is awesome.
Whatsmore, with the help of a Prayer Strip the Chosen one may pass on this power to the rest of the party!
Question is:was this intended or is this a typo/loophole?
Hey, would it be alright if I made a fan supplement for more races and Exaltions? Need some Changlings, Kroot, Goblins, and Warforged in this game dude.
ReplyDelete@john warforged=promethian
ReplyDeletefightercraft still lack various rules...such as cost to build.
Ah, Promethians are too much like their White Wolf counterparts for that comparison. Warforged as Geth analogues to the Eldarain Quarians is too good to pass up too.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah fightercraft rules as well as a nemesis path and more monsters would be good to add.
I've noted that in Book 2.2, under Vehicles, "Homing" is a Weapon Quality that has no actual rules to it...
ReplyDeleteIdeas, everyone?
Was Resilence supposed to nerf odd-numbered size characters while buffing even-numbered ones? At level 1, 3 and 5 a Size 4 and Size 5 character have the same resilience while the Size 4 character enjoys a higher DV. Surely that can't be intentional?
ReplyDeleteFinally, I get a chance to run this game! I've been searching for a while for a group, and now I have one willing to get their butts handed to them! *ahem! I mean, now I have one willing to adventure in this awesome system!
ReplyDeleteSir, you are the pinnacle of mankind. I pay my respects to this wonderful effort.
ReplyDeleteBY VECTRON'S IMMACULATE HANDS!
ReplyDeleteAre there plans for an extra book or other supplement in the future? Because I need to know if a Force-sensitive Exhaltation is around the corner, and whether to bother to start homebrewing one.
I'm also wondering if you have any thoughts about the state of magic. In my experience, it's just not really worth using when compared to the various martial options available(ESPECIALLY Aim-based range).
Will weapon creation and Overheat ever get fixed?
ReplyDelete-Overheat's still getting worse and worse for the user just from having things like weapon focus [even if you don't get to keep the die?]
-Plasma option's still worse than Bolt across the board and compatible with less upgrades to boot [Volatile Bolters but can't increase range or give volatile, amongst many others, to plasma?]
-Basic weapon form for the WCS is still worse than a lasgun or autogun of rarity two lower. Range in particular is pretty bad on the created weapons.
Getting to make it "just the way you want" [except sniper; can't range up enough], but they're pretty weaksauce overall.
Out of curiosity, are spells supposed to not have damage types? In most cases it's clear what type of damage a spell *should* deal, but for instance an Energyball could deal E or X damage, and Magic Missile could be E or I. It might not matter most of the time, but it'd be nice for spells to list their damage types, if only for the sake of critical damage.
ReplyDeleteHoping for more or updates soon...
ReplyDeleteI did a video review on my Youtube site:
ReplyDeletehttp://youtu.be/ZXaIyQa8-ac
Does anyone know if the Arcane Knight track is incomplete? It's lacking sword schools and magic tracks.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if that's intentional, or the class isn't quite finished yet.
Arcane Knight relies upon the Extracurricular Study feats to have bits of magic and sword schools. It's a very limited thing, but if you really want to have both then it works well with Atlantean.
ReplyDeleteneeds MOAR VECTRON!
ReplyDeleteIf there any chance of new material being made for this game? another book? I mean reading this is actually making me want to take up Table top gaming again.
ReplyDeleteIs this project alive? I have some requests to fix typos and to clarify some things.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have a google spreadsheets character sheet for it:

what does crafting have to do in dtd 40k 4th ed.
ReplyDeletei could not find a use in the source book
Book 1.6 mediafire link says 'The file you attempted to download has been previously claimed by a copyright holder through a valid DMCA request and cannot be downloaded.'
ReplyDeleteIn case anyone has trouble downloading and you are here there's a wiki page that has both books.

Just a quick question to anybody still around these parts, any notice of a way to download the full pdfs anymore? I can't find anything larger than 30 pages in the best cases
