Dungeons the Dragoning Updates Incoming

A lot of the comments on my previous entry going over what I had been working on were, naturally, wondering if I was stopping work on dtd. No worries there. Actually, things have taken an upswing there. I have someone helping me with the next version, and it has been nice to get another pair of eyes on things.

Expect the new version soon, with some big changes!

  1. Wonderful news! I'm a big fan of D:tD, and love to see it as it grows. Question, though, will there be a printer friendly version, ever? I want to introduce this to my offline group, but all the local printshops refuse to touch it.

    2. Just a hair late, woops! What the manager I spoke to told me was that they wanted to avoid potential lawsuits.

  2. Check out a site called printme1.com. You upload the file to the site, and they send you a printed version.

  3. Thank you VERY much for the news on D:tD!
Perhaps there might be guides on how to make classes in this new material? I've created around 20 Tau-based ones, but I'm thinking they're a bit overdone...

  5. Loved your game. Reasonably balanced, interesting and well developed. I am seriously waiting for the next update. There are a couple things which need clarification, so it's quite good you are doing that, and if we get some additional material, that's awesome.

Keep on with the good work, and if you need or want a hand, just ask.

  6. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to you for this AWESOME game. I've been playing D:tD as Master for my small group for almost a year, and every gaming session was unforgottable.
Second, whatever will be in the update - we will be as grateful to you as Exalts are grateful to you for letting them live by burning their Hero Points.
And third. If there's any possible way to help you - I'd do it.

    Thank you again, LawfulNice.

  9. If you are having trouble maintaining focus and inspiration, why don't you try running a kickstarter? I would happily pay for the pdfs you have already given and then some us if it would keep this great project going.

  10. Would he be allowed to make money off this project? I mean so much of the stuff in it is copyrighted.

  11. No, he's not allowed to get any money from it. That is, sadly, the nature of most homebrews.

But this post was made in July, and it is now almost October. I'm personally curious about when this supposed update is supposed to come out. Personally, I hope sooner, rather than later.

    1. The only way it could work is if this would be considered parody (it isn't as it takes itself seriously, and isn't really parodying the roleplaying games as much as mashing them together.)

      So yeah. No monies :(

  12. At a guess, given last year's release schedule? Sometime around Christmas.

  13. The world is going to end in a few days. Will the new version be ready before we all die?
